FOOD FAQ

FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

What is your price range?

My pricing begins at $3,000 and ends around $5,000.

do you offer other services?

Yes! On top of food photography, I offer local business’/restaurants marketing guides on how to properly get the best use out of their professional photographs. I also offer secondary photoshoots at a lower cost upon booking your first collection. This helps to continue the growth of your social media presence. I am happy to work with brands unrelated to food to help grow their business. (Niche brands.)

how are the photographs delivered?

All photographs are delivered on an online gallery.

How long does it take to photograph a full menu?

A full menu (depending on the size) usually takes 7-10 hours. If you have a more elaborate menu we may need to navigate a photoshoot between 2-3 days.

do you bring your own props?

Yes! I bring my own lighting setups, backdrops, tabletops, napkins, bowls, plates, etc. However, some restaurants prefer to use their own plates and bowls. I am happy to provide a different set if you are looking for a unique presentation. Extra food props (spices, herbs, vegetables, fruit, etc.) are not included and are expected to be provided for me. One day I hope to have my own kitchen and studio, but for now I shoot on location.

is your price range negotiable?

My prices are non negotiable.

can i use the PHOTOGRAPHS on delivery apps?

To use the photographs on delivery apps, an extra fee is required. This is due to delivery apps reserving the rights to use my work commercially once uploaded to their apps. (They may use my work without crediting me in promotional emails, on their instagram pages, etc.) This leads to massive amounts of exposure that deserves to be credited properly. Once the fee is purchased, the commercial rights are reserved only for the delivery apps.

where can i use the photographs?

You may use the photographs on social media such as instagram, facebook, and your own personal websites. If your food is to be featured on newspapers, blogs, or any printed materials, the journalist must credit my photography underneath the photographs.

what is the importance of food photography?

We live in a world where it is easy to capture content. While this is doable, I have seen instagram pages and websites grow quickly once your feed looks more professional, tended to, and curated. I believe this business is constantly moving, and it’s easy to get caught up in old ways. I prefer to stay ahead.
